For Part 2 let’s talk about human damage, more specifically human mischief.Shaving Creamed WindowsThe shaving cream itself doesn’t harm windows; it is just an inconvenience because of having to clean it. Like anything else, shaving cream is easiest to clean up before it dries. If it does dry, simply spray it off with water and then blot up what is left with a towel. Wet shaving cream can be cleaned up exactly like you sprayed it on the windows on purpose.Silly Stringed WindowsSilly string is one of the worst things that you can find on your windows. This product is so damaging that it has been banned in some areas because of how much it costs to clean it up from public property. As soon as you find silly string it needs to be cleaned up. It sticks to surfaces just like glue, so it is best not to allow it to dry if you can help it. It will also stain surfaces, so make sure it is ALL cleaned up, not just off the glass.For wet silly string, you can just pick it up as it will not have been able to adhere very strongly to the surface it is on yet. Dried silly string needs to be sprayed down as best you can and then use a squeegee or window scraper to gently scrape the silly string off.Toilet Papered WindowsToilet paper is usually the product of choice when it comes to stuff stuck on your windows from a prank. If you are lucky enough that the pranksters just draped your windows in TP, then just grab a garbage bag and pick it up.However, if you are unlucky and the sprinklers or rain got to the toilet paper before you did then it’s going to require a little more elbow grease to get the stuck toilet paper off your windows.Even if the toilet paper is stuck though, all you should have to do is spray it down with water to disengage (or dissolve) the toilet paper. If it refuses to come off, you may have to resort to using a squeegee to clean the windows that have dried toilet paper on them.
